What is The Quilt Project?

If you had a chance to view our virtual museum tour you will note that we have a signature quilt that was created in 1897 by the families in town. Beginning July 1, 2020 we will start sharing one square of the quilt each day to ‘crowdsource’ information that descendants of these families might like to share with us.

Enter your family’s surname into the search bar to see if your relative’s signature is on a square!

We hope that we can get lots of information. Each quilt square has several names on it and blog readers will be able to add comments to help bring these names to life. Follow us on FaceBook or check out the RHS webpage daily for a list of names. There are 64 squares on the quilt, with one square a day being shared through the summer. Let’s hear some stories!
